Welcome to Diya – Light of Hope e. V. [NGO Registration No. VR 701941b; Tax Registration No. 40004 / 10690]. Diya – Light of Hope e. V. is a non – profit organization, registered in Mannheim, Germany. We are a non-profit-making organization and do not have any affiliation with any political party or religious congregation.
The word “Diya” means a simple hand-made oil lamp, made of clay, which is used for lighting the dark areas.
We like to help people with a simple value like humanity, and working towards to be a light of hope for our society. Currently, we support social projects in India, especially children from socially disadvantaged families. These children often live at marginalized and the subsistence level, and will receive a light of hope through Diya-Light of Hope e. V. for sustainably improving their lives. The aim of our work is to give them a chance to get better education and health care.
All administrative tasks are organized by our Volunteers team based in Germany and Switzerland, which helps us to keep our expenses as low as possible. In addition, we rely on the support of the board of management, members of the association and other volunteers who work without receiving any monetary support from NGO. We aim at achieving the significant change to the life of people living in disadvantaged areas. All Donations go to the supported social projects.
